CJC-1295 DAC
CJC-1295 is a tetra-substituted analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). The DAC version adds a special linker that dramatically extends how long it stays active in the body.
What does DAC mean?
DAC stands for Drug Affinity Complex — a small chemical linker attached to the end of the peptide. Once injected, this linker binds covalently to albumin, the most abundant protein in blood plasma. By "piggybacking" on albumin, the peptide is shielded from the enzymes that would normally break it down within minutes.
Half-life with DAC: approximately one week.
Half-life without DAC: approximately 30 minutes.
What that means for research
The DAC version produces continuous, low-amplitude elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1 over multi-day windows — distinct from the brief, pulsatile pattern that the No-DAC variant produces. Researchers choose between the two depending on whether their experimental design calls for sustained receptor activation or short, physiological GH pulses.
